Professor of Education | Ex-Dean, School of Education, Humanities and Languages, Oxford Brookes University

Dr. Liz Browne is a distinguished Professor of Education at the Centre for Educational Consultancy and Development (CECD), Oxford Brookes University. She has held senior leadership positions in secondary schools and the Further Education sector, and previously served as Dean of the School of Education, Humanities and Languages at Oxford Brookes University.

During her tenure at Oxford Brookes, Dr. Browne managed the quality assurance of a national quality improvement programme for the Further Education sector on behalf of the UK Department for Education. She also successfully secured funding to establish a Centre for Excellence in Teacher Training, which she directed from 2008 to 2014.

As an active researcher, Dr. Browne has published extensively in leading academic journals on topics including data management, early years standards, ICT in education, and student voice. Her current work focuses on international partnerships, with extensive experience delivering training in China and to visiting academics from China, the Middle East, and the Far East.
