Our Kid’s Box Teacher Training programme is a syllabus-specific professional development course, endorsed by Cambridge University Press & Assessment and delivered through both live virtual and face-to-face formats as part of the Cambridge professional learning and development framework. Led by Cambridge-accredited trainers—often joined by Caroline Nixon and Michael Tomlinson, co-authors of the Kid’s Box series—this training ensures teachers become proficient in using the full range of course components: the Pupil’s Book, Activity Book, Teacher’s Book, Teacher’s Resource Book, flashcards, Class Audio, Presentation Plus, Test Generator, and dashboard‑based support like Practice Extra on Cambridge One.The programme integrates hands-on delivery workshops, micro‑teaching sessions, and tailored guidance on supporting mixed‑ability primary learners through Kid’s Box’s multi‑sensory, communicative approach—incorporating CLIL content and explicit Values units designed to develop empathy, kindness and emotional awareness at early stages of learning. Participants also explore how to weave enjoyable elements such as story‑songs, phonics practice, role‑play, and gentle exam tasks for Starters, Movers, and Flyers into lesson design. By the end of the course, teachers emerge with not only a clear understanding of the Kid’s Box pedagogy, but also the confidence, creativity, and planning tools needed to bring the course to life in classrooms or online settings.
