Dr. Jimmy Liu is a distinguished educator, entrepreneur, and literacy advocate with extensive academic and professional achievements. He holds an MSc from the University of London and a PhD from Peking University. As the Founder of Dr. Phonics and Co-founder of the Global Phonics & Literacy Research Centre (GPLRC), Dr. Liu has been at the forefront of advancing literacy education and promoting innovative teaching methodologies.

He currently serves as CEO of Ad Astra Education Sci-Tech Group and was previously a professor at Fudan University. His diverse career spans academia, entrepreneurship, and corporate leadership, with professional experience at leading organizations such as Microsoft, China Everbright Bank, and China Everbright Group.

Dr. Liu’s outstanding contributions to education and innovation have been widely recognized. In 2005, he was awarded First Prize in the China Entrepreneurship and Innovation Competition. He has also served as a visiting scholar at the Judge Business School, University of Cambridge, where he deepened his expertise in international education management and innovation.
