Christine is a highly accomplished international education expert with extensive experience in English language teaching, teacher training, and curriculum development. She currently serves as Lead Trainer for Cambridge University EnglishChief Education Advisor of Ad Astra Education Group and Leading Times Education Group, and Honorary Dean of Enway Education Institute.

Professional Experience:
Christine has worked in the field of English education and training for over three decades. She spent 15 years with the British Council in Poland, Estonia, and China, and has held academic positions at Surrey UniversityGuangzhou Foreign Languages UniversityShanghai Foreign Languages University, and the Jagiellonian University. She was the Managing Editor of the in2english website, a collaborative project funded by the BBC, British Council, CCTV Online University, and TCL. In addition, she served as a key expert for the STEPSS project under the Chinese Ministry of Education, and most recently as an expert advisor to the Beijing Institute of Education Chaoyang Branch, overseeing training quality for teachers across subjects in basic education.

Publishing and Academic Contributions:
Christine has made significant contributions to English language education through her editorial and authorship roles:

  • Editor of primary and middle school English textbooks New Standard English (Foreign Language Teaching and Research Press).
  • Chief Editor of Teaching Knowledge Test Workbook (Higher Education Press).
  • Co-editor of the English in Mind series for young learners.
  • Lead author of YIPEE Experiential English for kindergarten children.
  • Author of Fun and Games, a supplementary English series for primary learners (People’s Education Press).
  • Writer of Pathways Phonics Readers and Pathways English Comprehensive Courses for junior middle school students (Shanghai Education Press).

Teacher Training and Professional Development:
With over 35 years of experience, Christine has trained English teachers and school leaders across China. She has trained more than 2,000 teachers for the Cambridge Teaching Knowledge Test (TKT), and supported educators preparing for CELTS and CELTP qualifications. In addition, she has delivered trainer training courses both online and in person for Cambridge English, playing a key role in capacity building for English educators nationwide.
